Taking your kids on a cruise

October 3, 2011 by admin 1 Comment

Taking a family cruise can be a wonderful, enjoyable experience for family members of all ages. If you’re planning on taking the little ones out to sea with you, there are a few things you should make sure to bring along to make the trip much less stressful for you and more fun for them. A little preplanning can avoid any problems along the way and ensure everyone stays safe and comfortable.

First of all, it’s a good idea to bring a selection of over the counter medication for your child. Smaller kids can develop a cough overnight, and it will save a lot of sleep and discomfort if you have medication to give them. Children’s aspirin, chewable vitamins, and perhaps a heating pad can also help along the way. Cruise ships will have a selection of baby supplies, like diapers and baby food, available on board, but don’t count on a wide selection or cheap pricing. Try to bring a small selection of various things so you’ll be prepared for whatever crops up. [Read more…] about Taking your kids on a cruise

San Diego At A Glance

October 2, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Referred to as many as being the only area in the
United States with perfect weather, San Diego remains
the oldest port on the West Coast. Complete with a
well known Naval Base and a high level of tourism, this
breathtaking city continues to dominate the economy.

Aside from offering high mountains, deserts, and over
70 miles of the world’s most renowned beaches, San Diego
also offers other great attractions such as Sea World,
the San Diego Zoo, and Wild Animal Park.

For art lovers, there are many different museums and
even the Shakespearean play at the Old Globe Theater.
Throw in the fact that San Diego has more championship
golf courses than any other area in the world, and you
have a city ready for anyone’s imagination.

As a tourist city or a place to call home, San Diego is
one place you should at least visit. The night life here
rivals that of Las Vegas, giving you something for
everyone in the family. Young or old – San Diego is the
one city that you’ll never find boring.

Golf Vacations: How To Swing It

October 2, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Golf vacations are of course aimed at dedicated and enthusiastic golfers. However, the style of vacation varies and there are many companies and resorts that offer different types of golfing breaks ranging from a weekend to a whole week or more, and offering programs to suit anyone from the occasional golfer to the person who wants to be out there swinging a club from dawn until dusk.

Often, the package will also cater for family members who do not themselves play, to attract the custom of golfers who cannot get away alone. This can include activities for children, shopping facilities, a private beach, other sports, etc.

If you are traveling with non-golfers you can get a much more peaceful time on the course by involving your family in the choice of resort. It may mean that you do not get to play at your first choice of course this time, but it can be well worth compromising to visit a place that has a sandy beach as well as sandy bunkers.
