With the various fairs and festivals in Manali being some of the major attractions for tourists, it is a must visit during the Dussehra festival in October.

Located at an altitude of 1200 meters, above River Beas, is the pristine location of Kullu. 40 km to the north from Kullu, is located Manali, a place of valleys and mossy meadows flanked by the rushing rivulets and meandering brooks; trekking trails and the Himalayan bliss – the ultimate dreamland for many a nature lover. All natural beauty taken into consideration, the place wears an exceptionally look of color and culture during the Dussehra festival. Tourists visiting the place at this point of time will find a rush at the hotels in Manali. However, the availability of various hotels and resorts in Manali India abates the pain of hunting and failing and again hunting for accommodation here.

While staying at one of the hotels in Manali, step out of the hotel gate to observe an exclusive sequence of events during the Dussehra festival – one of the major fairs and festivals in Manali. According to customs, the statue of the presiding deity, Raghunathji, is carried down into the valley from the Raghunathpura Temple above Dhalpur and merges with a procession with almost 200 other deities. Carried in palanquins and escorted by drums and trumpets, the idols are led by the villagers to the open grounds alongside the river south of the town. The Raghunathpura Temple located at barely a five-minute walk from the town is not far from the Manali hotels. The course there winds up the hill along small family workshops that produce the beautifully embroidered Kullu shawls on wooden hand-looms. After almost 40 minutes’ trail from the temple, the procession reaches a ridge. The views are spectacular, beckoning for a longer stay or a second visit. 45 more minutes of climb will lead to the small Vaishno Devi Temple.

Having been a part of the entire procedure of the escorting of the idols, you can return to the bliss of privacy and solitude in your cozy room within one of the choicest Manali hotels. A relaxing session with Jacuzzi, Steam Bath, and Ayurvedic Messages at the hotels in Manali will leave you a man of content, a person rejuvenated.

Do not miss the sightseeing trips to Hadimba Temple, Manikaran, Arjun Gufa, Solang Valley, Bijli Mahadev Shrine, Jagatsukh, Brighu Lake, Naggar, Manu Temple, Tibetan Monasteries, and Vashist Hot Water Springs. Take the assistance of the travel desk at the Hotels in Manali to see you through these stunning spots.

Apart from the hotels, the resorts in Manali in India, nestled among wide expanses of woodland and lovely gardens, are some of the best options of accommodation in the town. Offering some of the best of natural sights of chestnuts and deodar groves, misty mountains and rippling streams, the hotels in Manali almost assure you of the much desired peace, tranquility and calm far from the maddening crowd even during the interesting Dussehra celebrations.
