Located in Southern California is one of the largest cities in the western states, Los Angeles. Los Angeles is home to Universal Studios, Hollywood, and many other exciting things. In the ritzy area known as Beverly Hills, many celebrities have made their homes. If you are lucky, you might even see an A-list actor. Keep looking hard enough and you’re bound to see somebody, maybe even your favorite movie star.

In Hollywood, the very popular Walk of Fame is a fun and free thing to do in LA. If you can’t seem to spot your favorite actor on the streets, you can at least find their name written here on the Walk of Fame.

Universal Studios, also in Los Angeles, is a place filled with excitement and has some of the scariest and most thrilling rides in the area; all of which relate to your favorite movies. Jurassic Park the ride, is one of these thrillers, along with Back to the Future, and The Terminator.

If money isn’t a problem, then a helicopter tour is a great way to see the entire city from a place that not many have the time to really enjoy and take in. The helicopter tours offer incredible views of the Hollywood sign, and it is all around just a great time. If you have never ridden in a helicopter before, this would be a spectacular way to get take hold of that opportunity.

Because the beach is only minutes away, take advantage of the Venice Beach Boardwalk- a boardwalk filled with shops and entertainment.

Shopping is also a must while in Los Angeles, as it offers some of the best shopping in the country, and it is also fun to get a taste of how celebrities see things at boutique stores.

On display at the Getty Center is some of the most intriguing art that ever existed. Even if art is not exactly what you want to see in L.A. the Getty Center is still a great place to stop by because of the wonderful scenery and gardens that are located there.

The Warner Brothers Studio also offers tours, where you can get a glimpse behind scenes of popular television shows. The sets that are here include shows like Lois & Clark and ER. You can also see some of the costumes and scripts!

Another must see are the La Brea Tar Pits, where the most concentrated amount of fossils in the whole world has been found. The museum located there has on display some of the fossils that have been excavated from the pits. If you show up on the right day and at the right time, you might even be able to see an actual uncovering of real fossils. Take note that this is generally only during the summer months.

The Los Angeles Zoo is an awesome place to take your family or to just go by yourself. On display, they have over 1200 different kinds of animals from all over the world. The zoo, which has been in business for over 40 years, has approximately 1.4 million visors yearly, and is a must see while you are visiting Los Angeles.
