If you’re going on a beach holiday this year then you might have already got everything you need, and are just counting down the days, Alternatively, you might not really know what to wear, and are worried you won’t have what you need.

Here’s what you need.

1. You’ll want a fantastic bikini or swimsuit to make the most of your figure and so you can enjoy the weather. Perhaps a particular style is best for you, or you have certain requirements from your designer bikinis, or perhaps you just like a certain brand of designer swimwear.

2. A sarong is ideal for when you need to be covered up, or to protect you from the sun, or for when you aren’t on the beach. Why not choose a matching, or contrasting cover up, or with a bold or understated design?

3. Don’t forget that you’ll need plenty of suntan lotion; you won’t want to burn in the sun. It might be a good idea to use a higher factor suncream for the first few days as you acclimatise.

4. You’ll want to protect yourself with a hat too. You might go for a stylish sunhat, or choose a cap, or a headscarf. Whatever you decide, you’ll want it to look good with your designer bikinis!

5. A nice beach towel will be a good investment, and will help you to stand out on the beach. Why use a boring bathroom towel when you could use an exciting beach towel with a great design on it?

6. You’ll definitely want some nice sandals or flip flops for wearing on the beach. Perhaps you’ve already got some, you maybe you’ll treat yourself once you arrive on holiday. Whatever you decide, you’ll want them to be comfy so that you can walk in them.

7. Why not treat yourself to some new sunglasses? If it’s a special holiday, or you’ve treated yourself to designer swimwear, then why not go the whole hog and get some designer sunglasses too? You’ll look and feel like a celeb, and you’re sure to attract lots of attention.

8. A selection of books or magazines will make your time in the sun, either by the pool, or on the beach, even more enjoyable. Why not stock up at the airport, so you’ll have plenty to keep you going even if the weather’s not as good as you hoped?

9. You’ll want to make sure that you’ve got your phone with you, but you’ll have to be careful that it doesn’t get damaged by the sand or the sea. Why not get a dedicated beach bag with a special compartment to make sure that your phone is safe?

10. Taking a small amount of money with you is a good idea, so that you can get a drink or something to eat. Don’t take too much though; you don’t want to be stranded if you lose it.

Now you know what you need, perhaps now is the time to stock up before you go on a beach holiday.
