If you are traveling alone, make sure that someone at home knows your itinerary. If your plans change, let your friends know.
Keep a positive, optimistic attitude. Traveling can be stressful and it is easy to get irritated when there are delays. Also, other people can just get on your nerves. Relax, take it easy. Having a positive attitude will help you get through frustrating situations more easily. You can enjoy yourself a lot more if you have a sense of humor about problems. If you find yourself getting upset, take a couple deep breaths. Remind yourself that “this too shall pass”, and laugh.
