Oprah Camping?

November 3, 2010 by admin 1 Comment

My wife had the TV on a channel showing Oprah this afternoon and she was out with her friend Gayle camping. Strange but interesting.

The parts that I  saw were Oprah and Gayle driving. Oprah and Gayle having trouble opening the bathroom door in the camper. As well as lots of camping, horseback riding and fly fishing.

Oprah and her crew were in Yosemite National Park and it was beautiful there. The interesting thing about the show to me was how much trouble Oprah and Gayle had with the camping and making it all work. I think this is the way it is camping for many of us. I always find camping a bit of stumbling around, trouble with bathrooms since none is equipped with Hand Crafted Oak Bathroom Vanity Units, I have trouble with food and cooking, and just staying clean.

I do love camping though and even though my family and I are not fantastic at it we seem to have lots of fun and look at it as a chance to disconnect and get to know each others lives better. That’s the good part about going camping, sometimes we all get all caught up in our daily lives that we forget to take a minute and relax, and this is extremly important, getting away from everything is necessary sometimes.

So, in these tough financial times, families are still taking vacations together yet are managing to cut back on spending. Many are accomplishing this feat by visiting the National Parks – figures show that attendance has been unusually high. Even the President and Vice-President have visited some of these majestic national treasures with their families. [Read more…] about Make the Most of a Family National Park Vacation
