Balboa Beach In Newport Beach

October 1, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Being one of the pristine beaches in Newport Beach,
Balboa Beach is found on the Balboa peninsula. The
beach faces the Pacific Ocean, and is actually
just a few blocks from the well known Balboa Fun
Zone and the yacht harbor.

In the summer, the beach is very popular for swimming
lessons. Balboa Beach is also well known for a 920
foot pier that was voted to be the best throughout
Orange County. The beach is also well known for it’s
no entrance fee. Although there is a parking fee,
the free admission more than makes up for it.

Along Balboa Beach you’ll find a bike path and even
places for bonfires. Surfing is also welcomed here,
although it’s banned from 11 AM to 6 PM in the
summer months. Bodyboarding is also great here,
along with swimming. During the summer, there is a
lifeguard on duty during the hours of daylight.

With plenty of sand and warm sun here, Balboa
Beach is one of the superb beaches in the Newport
Beach area. If you visit Newport Beach in the
summer, make sure you drop by Balboa Beach and see
just how good life can be.

Three Great American treasures for family holiday

September 22, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Some of the most important issues that anyone might want to tackle before packing their backpacks is that of where to travel. While it may seem quite obvious, some first-timers-and even repeat travelers-may not know the best places to visit.

Here is a list of some of the top favorites for travelers everywhere.

The Grand Canyon
: Located in close proximity to Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon is a natural wonder that a few other states of the USA can boast of. Located in Arizona’s Grand Canyon National Park, it is one of the marvels of nature. It is considered by scientists to have been carved by the Colorado River over a period of six million years. It was initially inhabited by the Native American Pueblo people who lived in its caves. It was also considered a holy site by other native tribes and was used as a pilgrimage venue. This is where to travel to whether your interest is just admiring the beauty of nature, exploring Native American life before the arrival of Europeans or just to satisfy your scientific curiosity. Fall Travel within the USA

September 19, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Summer is often the easiest time to take a vacation, but it’s not always the most affordable time. If you want to extend your vacation spend, consider some of the benefits of off-season travel.

  • Lower cost. With the majority of people vacationing during summer, the demand and the prices are higher during those peak months. If you wait a bit longer, demand is down, and often, so are prices.
  • Less crowded. Fewer fellow tourists mean shorter lines and the ability to explore attractions at your own pace.
  • Better weather. Favorite summer hot spots are cooler and winter destinations aren’t yet freezing cold, so you enjoy the visit without extreme temperatures.

So where can you go to enjoy an off-season trip and get more for your money? Here are just a few ideas from the travel experts at Country Inns & Suites. [Read more…] about Fall Travel within the USA
